February NPD Data Released

February 2007 retail sales, as tracked by NPD, for satellite radio have come in (Click Chart To Enlarge).

MARKET SHARE:

SIRI 56%
XM - 44%

This represents 18 consecutive months that Sirius has maintained a retail lead according to NPD.

Sales are down by 33% YOY for the sector (down 32% for Sirius and down 35% for XM)

Sales Are up by 8% over January 2007

NPD does not track all retail sales. WalMart, many on line vendors, and self performed sales by Sirius and XM are not included in NPD data.
