Motorola iRadio: Myths & Facts

Today, Motorola announced the addition of a content feature to their soon-to-be launched iRadio...access to public radio. Since iRadio is perceived as a threat to satellite radio, I thought I would take this opportunity to debunk a few myths about iRadio, which in my mind, give satellite radio the edge (Italics from Motorola iRadio website):

iRadio content must be downloaded, thus, EXTRA STEPS are involved
"Music that's easy to enjoyAll you need is an iRadio-enabled mobile phone, an iRadio subscription, a PC running Windows XP and a broadband Internet connection."

iRadio is NOT LIVE
"Update your musicConnect your iRadio-enabled mobile phone to your PC with a USB cable to easily update your programming. Your mobile phone will recharge its battery at the same time. Add new music, talk radio and personal favorites from your own collection. "

iRadio is NOT FREE, there will be a monthly cost associated with the service.
(Did you think that Cingular, Verizon, Sprint, etc were going to let you have this for free?!!!)

Satellite radio is looking better and better!
