More On Apple Rumor

Sirius investors who are enjoying this spike due to speculation about Apple may not appreciate this opinion, but it is better to have real news than speculation, and a spike on speculation that does not pan out sets up disappointment.
The likelihood of an apple relationship at this juncture in our opinion is simply not very realistic.
1. Apple tends to do things their own way, and tends to want to have full control over ventures.
2. Apple rumors regarding Sirius always seem to stem from out of nowhere.
3. Apple had their big presentation a month ago. If they were stepping into the satellite radio arena they would likely have had some sort of announcement at that point.
4. Current Sirius hardware does not support Apple downloads.
5. Does Sirius really need Apple? Does Apple need Sirius?
6. When rumors come out of nowhere, investors should take them with more than a grain of salt.....Perhaps the entire salt shaker would be better when the rumor involves Apple given the past history of such rumors.
In my opinion, an Apple connection at this point in time is not very likely....Especially on the hardware front. I would put odds at 95% that this type of deal is not happening. As for I-Tunes.....A slightly better chance, but again, not at all likely in my opinion.
