Sumner Redstone Speaks Out Against FCC Indecency Crackdown

www.fmqb.comIn a speech given yesterday at a Washington awards ceremony, Viacom Chairman Sumner Redstone claimed that the media is operating in fear of indecency complaints and regulations. Redstone was on hand to receive the Freedom Of Speech award from The Media Institute and he certainly exercised that right during the ceremony.
According to multiple reports, Redstone asked that FCC regulators "stay out of [viewers'] homes" while FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell was in attendance. He also claimed that "entertainment and news executives, musicians and artists are living in a great deal of fear" over the indecency crackdowns.
