XM Canada Hits 120,000 Subscribers

XM Canada announced today that they have 120,000 subscribers. The service, which launched 9 months ago is on a pace of a bit over 13,000 net subscribers per month.

Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. (TSX: XSR - News), through its XM Canada satellite radio service, announced today it has achieved 120,000 subscribers as of its ninth full month of operation and the completion of its first fiscal year (ending August 31, 2006).

"Our subscriber level in nine months exceeds all of our expectations and we look forward to momentous growth in 2007," said Stephen Tapp, President and Chief Operating Officer of XM Canada. "XM Canada offers the most extensive automotive partnerships, the greatest music and entertainment as well as innovative technology that Canadians want."

"In addition we are excited to have XM Satellite Radio now available in more than 80 models offered by General Motors, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Suzuki and Subaru in Canada starting with the 2007 model production this month," said Tapp.

Fourth Quarter subscriber results increased by 50 per cent over Third Quarter results. As CSR had not yet launched operations a year ago, there are no corresponding prior year figures for CSR's fourth-quarter and full-year 2005 results.

The subscriber numbers reported today are based on unaudited results. Greater details will be made available in the Management Discussion and Analysis to be released when the Fourth Quarter financial statements are available.
