NASDAQ Short Interest
For those of you who follow short interest, after a drop last month, Sirius' short position increased by 18,936,829, from 110,127,890 on July 14th to 129,064,719 on August 15th, with the 2nd highest short interest on the NASDAQ after the NASDAQ 100 Trust. This is increase of 17.20%; keep in mind, Sirius has an average daily volume of 32,077,468 with 6.82 days to cover
XMSR had a decrease in short interest of 22.31%, dropping 8,486,963 from 37,064,358 to 28,795,151. The average daily volume is 8,486,963 with 3.39 days to cover.
Perhaps this short interest pattern indicates a SIRI for XMSR deal is in the works...
