Comment on Howard Stern "Classic" Debut

Although I don't remember a formal announcement regarding the timing of Howard Stern "Classic", apparently, some were hoping for a July 4th launch. I suppose it will be similar to the launch of Howard online streaming, ie, it happened in a timely manner, when the technology was ready.

In any case siriusfannetwork posted this comment today:

Howard Stern fans will have to wait a little bit longer for the much anticipated launch of Howard Stern Classic - a collection of special shows from the recently acquired audio tapes of the Howard Stern Show from the past 20 years of terrestrial radio. There had been heightened talk about special shows airing over the July 4th Weekend, but that's not going to happen. At this point, it is not known when the tapes will be ready for airing, but it's clear that the Fourth is out of the question.

Program Director of Howard 100 and 101, Tim Sabean, says he’s as anxious to hear the tapes as the fans. “We want to do it right. I could put them on the air this weekend, but no one would be happy it would just misfire. I don’t want to do that. I want to make sure it’s right.” Stern Show executive producer Gary Dell’Abate echoes that sentiment and says it will be worth the wait. “Nobody’s being lazy. Nobody’s stalling. We just want to put the best thing out there that we can". "
