XM Serves Up U.S. Open Finals From Flushing N.Y.

XM Satellite ERadio will be offering live play-by-play coverage of the U.S. Open. Bud Collins will be covcering the event.

WASHINGTON, Aug 08, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- XM Satellite Radio, America's number-one satellite radio company with more than 7 million subscribers, will begin its ongoing coverage of the U.S. Open Series in the weeks and days leading up to the Grand Slam event. As the tournament gets underway, XM will provide daily highlights to casual and passionate tennis fans and broadcast live play-by-play coverage of the men's and women's semi-final and final matches in September.

XM's broadcast coverage of U.S. Open Tennis will include the "U.S. Open Daily Show," a daily one-hour program hosted by renowned tennis analyst, Bud Collins. Broadcasting directly from Arthur Ashe Stadium, the show will be available on XM's new 24/7 sports news and talk channel, XM Sports Nation (XM 143), from 10-11 am ET throughout the tournament. The show will debut on August 28.

Tennis fans also can tune into live play-by-play coverage of the semi- final and final matches. XM will broadcast the U.S. Open men's and women's semi-finals and finals live on XM Sports Nation, also anchored by Bud Collins. Grand Slam Doubles champion, Murphy Jensen, and three-time Grand Slam singles winner, Virginia Wade, will provide color commentary and analysis for the men's and women's matches, respectively.
