Stiletto Details Getting Out

Satellite Standard Group Keeps You Informed.
We received an e-mail from a reader with some dimensions for the new Sirius Stiletto that the reader claimed were given to him by Crutchfield. We decided to follow up and gave Crutchfield a call. The representative on the phone did not have a lot of detail, but did have some dimensions.
These dimensions appear to count the antenna bump as well, so we give an estimate without the bump.
With Standard Battery
Width--- 2"
Height --4.5" (about 4.125 excluding antenna bump)
Depth---0.6875" (11/16th")
The extended life battery adds 0.3125" (5/16th") to the depth at the bottom of the unit. This is where the Crutchfield representative became unclear, but where we recalled an early photograph of Mel Karmazin holding the Stiletto. In that now infamous photograph where Mel Karmazin is holding the Stiletto, you can see the "battery compartment" clearly. Understanding the dimensions above, the battery appears to be about 2" x 1". This would mean that with an extended life battery, the unit will have a 0.3125", or 5/16TH inch, "bump-out" at the bottom of the unit......Yes, the headphone jack is on the base.
There is still a lot more to come we are sure, but this ought to give people some idea of size. By contrast here are some devices that you may be familiar with:
Razor Phone - 3.86" x 2.08" x .54"
Chocolate Phone - 3.7" x 1.9" x .6"
XM Inno - 4.4375" x 2.3125" x 0.625" (incl. antenna) ( height is 3.7" excluding antenna)
