THE STERN EXPRESS…..
We have had the STERN EFFECT, but after today’s subscriber numbers for Sirius and XM were released, we now have the
STERN EXPRESS!!!
Why call it the
STERN EXPRESS?
Because consumers are EXPRESSING their opinion quite clearly.
Because the momentum that Stern has generated is EXPRESSED in the subscriber numbers.
Because the advertisers EXPRESS with their ad dollars where they prefer to advertise.
Because Auto Manufacturers are seeing Stern Effect First hand as consumers who have a choice in service are EXPRESSING themselves by choosing Sirius.
Because Stern offers a COMPELLING reason to join the satellite radio revolution. Consumers like the fact that Stern now has the freedom, thanks to no FCC regulation, to FULLY EXPRESS himself.
There has been a shift in satellite radio. Some have tried to ignore it, but it is there none the less. Looking back at the numbers you can clearly see the
STERN EXPRESS gaining momentum. It was subtle at first, but it was there. When Stern announced he was joining Sirius, Sirius had a bit over 20% of the overall market. As of June 30, 2006 Sirius now has over 40% of the market.
It grew to bigger proportions late 2005 as stern was getting ready to move from terrestrial to Sirius. At that point some people thought it would die off like a “One Hit Wonder”. What were they thinking? Didn’t they understand that Stern has been an ICON for over 20 years? Did they not comprehend that for the first time Stern would be available on a national as well as an international basis? Sometimes there is no convincing people of what is clearly right before their eyes. They choose not to see it because they don’t want to. Meanwhile the
STERN EXPRESS rolls directly over them leaving naysayers scratching their heads and wondering what happened.
The
STERN EXPRESS is rolling, and there is plenty of room for more to join in the fun. Hop on board and enjoy the ride, enjoy Stern, enjoy Martha, enjoy commercial free music, enjoy the NFL, enjoy the BEST RADIO ON RADIO……SIRIUS.
