Sirius Satellite Radio has become a big revenue player in downloadable applications. The satellite radio company is now in the top 5 in the category, sharing company with Map Quest, The Weather Channel, Verizon Super Pages, and Music Choice.
This growing category represents significant revenue for those that offer it. By getting into the top 5 it is clear that satellite radio adds value to the mobile phone market. sirius has a deal with Sprint/Nextel.
