Competion or Not

If you ask the NAB about whether or not satellite radio is competition you will get a long and drawn out answer that may leave you more confused than when you started. according to the NAB, competition is a one way proposition. They feel that satellite radio competes with terrestrial, but that terrestrial does not compete with satellite.
Now, do yourself a favor and explore the
Ibiquity website and look deeper into HD Radio. Seems that they acknowledge competition in the very description of what HD radio is. Note that in two locations they speak specifically about subscriptions, and "free radio"
You can click the image to enlarge, and you will see clearly that they are referring to satellite radio. HMMMMMM.....competition.
