NY Daily News: Sirius Gets The Prize For Super Bowl Coverage

Television may get most of the Super Bowl audience Sunday, but plenty of people listen on the radio, too - and radio is the place for fans to talk about it.
WFAN (660 AM) is carrying the Super Bowl here, with a pregame starting at 3 p.m. and the game broadcast itself starting at 5. When it wraps up around 10, Richard Neer comes on to talk and take calls.
WFAN afternoon hosts Mike Francesa and Chris Russo are live in Miami all this week, as are the Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic morning team and Dan Patrick of WEPN (ESPN Radio, 1050 AM).
WEPN doesn't have Super Bowl play-by-play Sunday, but it's still wall-to-wall. Jody McDonald does 8-10 a.m., followed by Don LaGreca and Greg Buttle, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
WEPN will cover the game with ESPN's regular hosts and reporters, and will "watch" the game from Barbados with Michael Kay and a bunch of listeners who won a station contest.
Monday is also important, says WEPN program director Mike Thompson: "The day after is huge for us. People want to talk about the game, the ads, everything."
The prize for variety in coverage of the game, however, goes to Sirius Satellite Radio, which is offering 10 feeds in seven languages. These include the Colts' team broadcast, the Bears' team broadcast and the CBS radio broadcast, all in English...read more: here
