SIRI Sirius Satellite: 3Q06 preview - Morgan Joseph (4.02 )

Morgan Joseph notes SIRI will report Q3 results on Nov 8. Firm expects strong rev growht and continued cost discipline. Firm notes subscriber net additions down sequentially, but beats competition. Firm believes a combination of XMSR's troubles with the FCC over FM transmitters (SIRI had issues as well but resolved them in a timelier manner) and SIRI's more compelling service has driven retail outperformance relative to the competition, a trend they believe should continue into 4Q06 and the important holiday shopping season.
