XM's Gary Parsons Sees Growth Ahead

Gary Parsons, Chairman of XM Satellite Radio, showed confidence in XM Satellite Radio, as well as the sector, citing the growth that is happening.

Parsons acknowledged that the shares of XM Satellite Radio have seen a rough period, but that there now exists a "significant upside potential."

Parsons hammered home his points at the Goldman Sachs Media Conference in New York.

The comments from Parsons should be encouraging to investors. In the face of FCC issues, XM had in the past spoken about a weakness in the retail channel. These comments seem to reverse that sentiment, and that is welcomed news.

Parsons also stated that XM "will be in pretty good inventory shape across the board for the holidays"
