Harness Racing Gets Sirius

August 10, 2006

Harness Racing has found its way onto the satellite radio waves, as Harness Racing Communications will have a show every Saturday on Sirius Satellite radio.

Down The Stretch will air every Saturday, at 10 a.m. EST. The first 30 minutes of every show will exclusively be devoted to harness racing.

The two hour show will be hosted by Dave Johnson and Bill Finley and is available on Sirius Channel 125.

Guests on the first week's show will include Sam McKee and Stan Bergstein.

"We believe we are giving harness racing what it deserves, a quality radio program available throughout the U.S. and Canada to Sirius subscribers," said Ed Pappas, the show's producer.
"Sirius is a great network and the people there understand that harness racing has a large and very loyal following. We hope this is just the beginning. We are hoping to broadcast several major harness races live throughout the year. This should be a win-win for everyone."
Sirius expects to have 6.3 million subscribers by the end of the year.
