Sirius and Kia Team Up

Sirius Satellite Radio has now announced an exclusive factory install deal with Kia. The deal involves factory installation in ALL vehicles starting with model year 2009 vehicles which will begin selling in 2008. The terms of this deal go through 2014 with an optional 3 year extension to 2017.

Satellite Standard Group (SSG) tracks auto sales each month, and notes that Kia represented sales of about 276,000 units in 2005, and is growing each year. You can see the market share of respective manufacturers, and their satellite radio relationships in a previous SSG piece

Kia customers will receive three months of complimentary service, and all radios will be factory activated for dealer and customer convenience.
