Opie and Anthony and XM and CBS?

In a story that has garnered coverage from Orbitcast, it would appear that XM Satellite Radio Shock Jock's Opie and Anthony will have their show syndicated onto the stations where Davi Lee Roth is currently broadcasting.

Speculation is that Roth will be removed from the airwaves, and that a version of the Opie and Anthony show will be the replacement.

The move has sparked some interesting debate on the message boards. There are people who applaud the move, and people who look at it as a sell out. A major concern among fans seems to center on whether or not the show will be diluted so as to give enough material that can pass FCC muster on terrestrial airwaves.

Only time will tell if this mix of satellite and terrestrial radio will work for the shock jock format.
