Adoption of HD Radio, the digital upgrade to today's analog AM-FM broadcasts, could get a big lift from Best Buy's decision to stock HD Radio receivers in all of its stores nationwide.
Best Buy (NYSE:BBY - News), the No. 1 consumer electronics retailer in the U.S., announced Monday that it's selling HD Radio receivers in all its 832 stores nationally. Best Buy is the first national retailer to make HD Radio technology available to customers across the country.
