Apple Officially Unveils The iPhone

After years of waiting, Apple founder Steve Jobs "reinvented the phone" today, unveiling the iPhone officially at the company's annual Macworld. The device is of course capable of far more than just music and phone calls. It features a 3.5 inch wide touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel camera, 4 or 8 GB of storage space, Bluetooth and WiFi and also runs the latest Mac software, including the Safari Web browser. The screen also mirrors the iPod and iTunes photo and video capabilities.
The touchscreen uses a brand-new interface technology called MultiTouch and Jobs compared it to the iPod click wheel in terms of importance. "iPhone is a revolutionary and magical product that is literally five years ahead of any other mobile phone," said Jobs. "We are all born with the ultimate pointing device -- our fingers -- and iPhone uses them to create the most revolutionary user interface since the mouse."...read more: here
