Cingular is expected to begin partnering with some of the biggest online music services, including Napster Inc.,
Yahoo Inc.'s Yahoo Music and eMusic, to launch a music service on its cellphone network, people familiar with the matter say.
The service would work on cellphones that double as music players.
Cingular's move, set to be announced as early as tomorrow, is the latest sign that cellphones are morphing into entertainment devices that can play music and download songs off the Internet, and it sets the stage for a battle with
