(BW) Nashville's Hottest Indie Artists To Be Featured In ''City Sessions,'' The New High-Definition Show With Global Distribution; Katie Herzig, The Hot Rocks among Nashville artists recording at the Sound Kitchen

By Business Editors(c) 2006 Business Wire

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 2006--Your Music Channel Television (YMCtv) today announced that "City Sessions," a show in which music industry veterans showcase the vibrant local music scenes of cities across the nation, will produce its Nashville episodes at the Sound Kitchen the week of Sept. 18. YMCtv is a division of the World Digital Media Group (WDMG), which was founded in 2005 as collaborative effort by SIRIUS Satellite Radio, EchoStar Communications, Radio Shack and CC Entertainment.

"City Sessions" spotlights the hottest indie bands in each city by producing shows in a new and unique format that combines the best of both a live recording in a real studio and high-definition video that works on platforms globally.

Giving Nashville artists a global platform carries special meaning for the head of "City Sessions."
"I started my music career in Nashville, knocking on doors looking for someone who would listen to my music, so it's exciting to go back to Nashville with a TV show that will share some of the best talent in Nashville with 'City Sessions,'" said multiple Grammy- and Dove-award winner Chris Christian, CEO of WDMG, and the executive producer of "City Sessions." "We're giving hot Nashville acts the chance to be seen around the world. These independent artists will have a high-resolution show that showcases their talent on DVD; it's a product that, in most cases, the artists couldn't afford to produce or distribute on their own."

"City Sessions" wraps up its first season in Nashville featuring local artists such as The Hot Rocks, recognized by MTV as one of the top 25 indie bands of 2006; and Katie Herzig, who is currently opening for The Fray. "City Sessions" has already filmed episodes in Los Angeles, New York City and Dallas. Some of the artists to be featured in the Nashville "City Sessions"

Each "City Sessions" episode features a single artist recording in-studio, as well as an interview with the artist, giving fans an intimate look at the performer and the passion that powers their music. The candid, behind-the-scenes format sets the show apart from traditional music programming such as music videos and televised concerts.

"City Sessions" recently signed an international distribution agreement, and later this year, the show's executives plan to announce DISH Network programming and an Internet channel through a popular online portal. "City Sessions" is the first of many shows that YMCtv is developing to focus on artists and their music, as well as the business side of the music industry.
Bands interested in being featured on future "City Sessions" episodes should contact Producer Darren Fair via the "City Sessions" Web site (http://www.citysessionstv.com/) or by e-mail to sessions@ymctv.com.
