Chip Harrison FLW Tour Update - Kentucky Lake
May 11, 2006
Satellite Standard Group is pleased to bring you an update on FLW Tour angler Chip Harrison. Chip is sponsored by Sirius satellite Radio, and fishes in the FLW Tour as well as the FLW Series. The Ketucky Lake FLW Tour event kicked off yesterday, and Chip Harrison is within striking distance of being in the top 50.
On day 1 Chip, with his
Setyr Rod, reeled in a limit catch (5 fish) that weighed in at 13 pounds 1 ounce. This places Chip in 53rd place, and only 3 ounces behind being in the money (top 50).
The event started off with some thunderstorms and rain in the morning, the event got underway, and there were many anglers who caught limit (5 fish). Chip had mentioned that there was a lot of question about whether to fish shallow or deep. He said that in practice prior to the event he was catching fish in both areas. After the first day of the event, the answer as to whether shallow or deep will be the winning strategy remains unanswered. Anglers had success at both.
The leader of the event after day one is Curt Lytle who brought in a limit catch weighing in at 20 pounds 9 ounces. The biggest catch of the day was reeled in by Ralph Laster Jr. His bass was an impressive 7 pounds 5 ounces, and not only netted him $750, but has him sitting in 14th place with an even 17 pounds for his limit catch for the day.
Satellite Standard Group keeps you posted on Sirius satellite Radio angler Chip Harrison throughout each event. Stay tuned for results from day 2 at Kentucky Lake.
